In 2007, Sean and his wife, Susan, decided to start their own home-building company after Sean’s years of experience working for well-respected builders and developing long-term relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Sean knew it was time to provide his services directly to the home-buying public so that no matter what size of home they desired, the Halsey team could design and build with a high level of quality in a timely, efficient manner, and a great value to his clients.

Over the years, Sean has continued to educate himself and his team to to provide every client with the latest trends and knowledge in energy efficiency, design trends and the latest building codes. Sean holds certifications as a HERS Rater (RESNET), a BPI (Building Performance Institute) Building Analyst, a Certified Green Professional (NAHB), and a Certified New Homes Sales Professional (NAHB).  In addition to these certifications, Sean Halsey is a Class A General Contractor (Commonwealth of Virginia) and an Erosion and Sediment Control Responsible Land Disturber (Commonwealth of Virginia).

When not building homes, Sean enjoys spending time with his family. He can also be found running and playing golf. Giving back to the community is very important to the entire Halsey Homes team and this can be seen through Sean’s involvement in senior leadership positions for the Fredericksburg Area Builders Association.
